Shipping & Delivery
Your Health Mate sauna ships by freight — crated, on a pallet, and delivered to your curb. Here’s what happens, what to expect on the day, and how to get ready.
Before your sauna ships
Your sauna specialist confirms your delivery address, your phone number, and anything about your property the carrier should know in advance.
Tell us now if any of these apply:
– A long driveway, private road, or gated entry.
– A steep or unpaved approach.
– A narrow street or a dead end without room for a truck to turn.
– Anything that would make it hard for a full-size freight truck to reach you.
A two-minute conversation now prevents a rescheduled delivery later. Freight carriers charge for a second attempt, and those charges pass through to you — so it’s worth flagging.
Getting your delivery scheduled
Every Health Mate sauna ships with a scheduled delivery appointment. Once your sauna leaves our warehouse, you’ll get tracking. When it reaches the freight terminal nearest you, the carrier calls to arrange a delivery window. Answer that call promptly – terminals hold shipments for a limited time, and storage fees start accruing if delivery can’t be scheduled. Someone 18 or older needs to be there to receive it and sign. Typical timeline: 7-12 business days.
What happens on delivery day
The driver brings your crated sauna to the curb, the end of your driveway, or the closest point the truck can safely reach.
That’s where the carrier’s job ends. Freight drivers don’t carry shipments into homes, garages, backyards, or up stairs — that’s a liability rule across the freight industry, not a Health Mate policy. Every sauna brand shipping by freight works the same way.
So plan for two things:
People. Have at least two able adults on hand to move the panels from the curb to where the sauna is going. More for larger models.
A dry spot. If you’re not assembling right away, move everything somewhere covered. A garage works well. Cardboard and wood don’t do well left out overnight.
If you’d rather not handle the move yourself, ask your specialist about inside delivery or white glove — see below. Your sauna specialist can tell you roughly what to ask for based on your model’s weight and panel count.
If you’d rather not move it yourself
Curbside is standard on every order. If you’d prefer your sauna brought inside, we can quote that separately.
Inside delivery. We bring your sauna into the room of your choice, still packaged.
White glove. Inside delivery plus assembly, so your sauna is ready to use when the team leaves.
Both are quoted per address, since cost depends on your location and access. Ask your sauna specialist for a quote before you order — it’s easier to arrange up front than after your sauna has shipped.
Getting your space ready
Do this before the truck arrives, whether you’re taking curbside or inside delivery.
Measure the path, not just the room. The largest panel has to clear every doorway, hallway turn, and stairwell between the curb and the final spot. Measure the panel, then measure the tightest point on the route.
Check your door swing. Your sauna door needs room to open fully, and the sauna shouldn’t block a doorway you use.
Check your outlet. Your sauna plugs directly into an outlet. It can’t run on an extension cord. Some models need a dedicated circuit — your specifications sheet says which, and if yours does, book the electrician before delivery, not after.
Pick the floor. Level, and rated for the weight. Check your specifications sheet for the loaded weight of your model.
Putting it together
Health Mate saunas are built to go together without a contractor. Panels connect to each other, the heaters plug in, and the hardware you need comes in the box.
30 mins or less and 2 people to assemble.
If you’ve purchased white glove delivery, assembly is handled for you. Full assembly instructions ship with your sauna, and our support team is on the phone if anything doesn’t look right.

Check the shipment before you sign
This part matters, so don’t skip it.
Look over the crate and cartons before you sign the delivery receipt. If anything is dented, crushed, punctured, torn, or looks like it’s been dropped, write it on the delivery receipt — specifically. “Damaged” is enough to open a claim. Nothing written means no claim.
Take photos before you move anything. Then open the boxes as soon as you can. Damage inside a clean-looking box happens, and the sooner you find it, the easier it is to resolve. Call us at (714) 739-6600 or email [email protected] we’ll take it from there. Report any damage within 1 day of sauna delivery. After 24 hours, it is invalid.
