I had found Infared saunas when I was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease and was having all sorts of trouble with lymphatic drainage, aches and pains, extreme light sensitivity, brain fog, digestive issues, heart palpitations from anxiety, panic disorder, etc. It soon became clear that after seeing vast improvements of my Lyme symptoms as well as an uptick in better mental health, that I would need to be doing saunas daily if I wanted to have a better quality of life. After four years of paying for a monthly pass at a local Infared sauna place, my circumstances changed, and after 3ish years of better health in part due to the sauna, I had a big Lyme flair due to my mother being in hospice with dementia (infared sauna also helps reduce inflammation which can cause dementia, another huge worry of mine, so saunas give me so much peace of mind regarding that), and I was just in bad shape physically and spiritually. Then a few months ago…My husband found a sale and decided to buy a Health Mate sauna for our home, which meant I didn’t have to struggle to drive to get to a sauna on days when it’s hard for someone like me to drive. It’s not that I can’t drive, it’s just that I live in a big city and it’s stressful to, especially when you want to let yourself fully relax into the sauna, which is how to get the most benefits, in my opinion. It puts you into such a state of… jubilant, blissful relaxation that operating heavy machinery 5 mins after getting out, it kinda snaps you back to attention, and you want to stay in that relaxed state as long as you can afterward! We have had our enrich 2 with the backrest, aroma therapy, and detachable shelf for several months now, and it’s allowed me to have a better quality of life with its convenience, and on days that are extra spicy, I can do a short second 5 or 10 min sauna before bed, and that’s helped immensely with sleep as well. If you’re on the fence about such a huge purchase, they do have financing, and for the investment that this is in your health? It’s kinda priceless, in my opinion. It’s been a lifesaving tool in my healing journey, one I can’t see ever not having. I know it’s adding more (good) years to my life.

We love our new sauna. We put it in our workout room so it fits nice into our workout routine.
I start the sauna at the beginning of workout/cardio with a temperature of 150 and time of 50 minutes. The sauna warms from room temperature to 102 in about 15 minutes and the to 130 in another 15 minutes. It hit my desired temperature at 45-50 minutes. I set time to 20 minutes and enjoy. This works well into my routine.
It’s a great way to end a workout.

I bought my sauna in 2009 at the California State Fair.  It was the best purchase I have ever made.  It is still going strong in 2024.  I think about 7 years ago there was a power surge and I had to replace the power supply.  And in the first 5 years of owning the sauna, I was sent a new control panel although I didn’t have any issues with the one that was installed.  So glad to see that Healthmate is still around but surprised I don’t see more marketing from them on the internet.

My wife and I are very happy with the sauna we purchased works great. But with anything mechanical after a few years of regular use a light on the control panel went dim. A sauna has been on my wish list for a long time. Picking the Health Mate Enrich 2 person sauna was a great choice. Although it seems more suited for 1 person, I wouldn’t trade it. Heats up quick (within 20 mins) it’s ready to go. I just hope I don’t wear it out. So far 100 percent satisfaction!
